How many tokens does one developer use per month?
A developer who codes with an AI agent every day typically runs around 22 million input tokens and 5.5 million output tokens a month — a profile consistent with the $150–250 per developer per month that Anthropic cites for Claude Code. That is the workload the calculator opens with; swap in your own numbers for a real answer.
Where do I find my token usage?
Your provider's console shows it in the usage or billing dashboard, split into input and output. Claude Code users can run ccusage in a terminal for per-day and per-month totals, including cache reads. Add up a full month and enter the figures in millions.
What counts as input, output and cached input?
Input is everything sent to the model: prompts, chat history, attached files and system instructions. Output is everything it writes back, including reasoning tokens — priced several times higher per token, it often drives the bill. Cached input is prompt the provider has already seen and can reuse at a discount; agent workloads are often cache-heavy, which is why this calculator prices it separately instead of billing it as fresh input.
Why are sellers on AntSeed cheaper?
AntSeed is a peer-to-peer marketplace: independent sellers compete on price to serve the same model weights, instead of quoting one published rate. The gap is widest where list prices carry the most margin, and it narrows on models already priced near cost. Every AntSeed figure here includes the protocol's flat 4% fee.
What does “trusted seller” mean here?
A seller with real on-chain settlement history and an AntSeed SDK reputation of at least 80, additionally screened by our ranking-integrity checks — the same analysis behind this site's wash-trading monitoring. A shield badge marks sellers that also hold an externally verified domain or GitHub ownership proof. The cheapest raw listing is always shown too; the trusted pick is the one we would actually point you to.
Why does a model show no list price?
Some models exist only on the marketplace: stealth releases, private fine-tunes, models no public catalog lists yet. They have no published rate anywhere, so there is nothing to compare against — the calculator still prices them across AntSeed sellers, it just makes no savings claim. Models served entirely for free are shown as free, with the number of sellers carrying them.
Are these prices guaranteed?
No. Both sides are live advertised rates, not quotes: sellers join, leave and reprice through the day, and list prices move too. The list side comes from the public OpenRouter models API, refreshed twice a day and stored on our servers so the comparison is reproducible; the AntSeed side comes from our own crawl of the network's DHT. Treat every figure as a snapshot.
